Drawing for Wellbeing 2 – Zentangles
Recovery College Blended Learning Courses
The aim of this new course is to take inspiration from our earlier mark-making and mandala course. By encouraging and supporting your progression learners will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills and create their very own finished zentangle artwork.
Suited to both beginners and those with more experience we will be offering a blended learning course centred around the theme of Reflections. This will be delivered in a relaxed, creative environment, students will work both individually using the printed workbook and supplied art materials as well as interacting as a group via weekly MS Teams meetings.
This is a course of two parts.
The first half of this course will give you the opportunity to develop their mark-making and pattern skills through a series of 3 creative activities. These will include:
- Introduction to simple patterns
- Step by step detailed pattern activities
- Introduction to advanced patterns
The second part of this course will focus on learners creating a decorative Zentangle design. This process will be broken down into the 3 following stages:
- Creating coloured grounds
- Overlaying final design silhouette
- Adding pattern to complete final design
Although this is a progression course from Drawing for Wellbeing 1 it is open to all learners.
