Discover the art of fabric printing with our Gel Printing workshop! During this two-week, hands-on course and with the help and support of our fab facilitators, James and Ann, we’ll be guided through various techniques using gel printing blocks, which will enable us to create our own, individual fabric prints which will then be transformed into small, scented cushions.
We will experiment with different gel printing methods to create unique designs. We’ll start by transferring our prints from paper to fabric, and then move on to sewing and stuffing our printed fabric to make a small cushion. To enhance the sensory experience, we can add lavender or rose petals to our cushions; scents that can help provide comfort. Finally, we’ll have the opportunity to add creative details like buttons for added texture.
All equipment is provided including natural materials such as feathers and leaves for creating relaxing, abstract prints. No previous experience is necessary, making this workshop perfect for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter.
Due to the popularity of this course and to ensure we are being fair to everyone, this course is only available to learners who have not previously undertaken a Recovery College Gel Printing course.
