Current Digital Hub drop ins – North and South Kirklees
A digital hub is a local community-based centre that offers a range of support services to help you with your digital inclusion journey.
They have a number of free courses and activities that you can access with a level to suit everyone, from beginners through to intermediate and more advanced courses. The hubs are listed below and also included in the attachments- click to view.

In partnership with Kirklees College Waythrough has a new Workshop taster session on offer for people who are interested to find out more about being Self-Employed.
The two hour workshops covers a range of topics as you will see from the attached poster.
These include:
• Introduction to Self-Employment,
• What Self Employment Means in the UK
• Identify Benefits and Challenges of Self Employment
• Understand Basic Tax and National Insurance Responsibilities
• Universal Credit and Self Employment
This workshop is being delivered in conjunction with Kirklees College, whose staff will be delivering this at both our Huddersfield Hub at the Media Centre and also Connect Housing in Dewsbury.
For attending participants who wish to progress self-employment further after this taster session they will have the opportunity to register for L1 Self-Employment accredited course with Kirklees College, Waythrough Kirklees employment service is also able to support people on their self-employment journey.

Heart of the Town – Dewsbury- from 12th May
Every Tuesday from 12th May for 12 weeks.
Heart of the Town is aimed at men aged 18+ who would like to improve their physical health and overall wellbeing. The programme combines weekly classroom based learning with practical exercise sessions and takes a holistic approach to health.

Moments in Music at The Tech
Funded by Creative Minds, Moments in Music is running a series of FREE creative music sessions for people living with dementia and their carers. The sessions are run by an experienced musician and will be an opportunity to share both familiar and new music, gentle rhythm and shared listening in a relaxed environment.
