Life skills and interests

This brand new 4-week Nature Weaving Course, delivered by our Creative Practitioner Sarah O’Boyle, offers a gentle introduction to creating beautiful, tactile weavings inspired by the natural world. Using simple techniques and materials such as garden twine, raffia, sticks, grasses, and dried flowers, participants will explore the basics of weaving while crafting a decorative hanging for the home or garden. With wellbeing at its heart, the course provides a relaxed, friendly, and non-judgmental environment where learners are encouraged to work at their own pace and express themselves freely. Rooted in the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ — Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give — each session nurtures creativity, connection, and a sense of community. Suitable for all skill levels, this course offers an inviting space to slow down, explore sustainable natural materials, and rediscover the joy of creating with your hands.
