Crochet for Beginners
Mirfield Community Centre, Water Royd Lane, Mirfield, WF14 9SG

Life skills and interests
Join us for a relaxing and creative journey into the world of crochet! During this brand-new, beginner-friendly course, our lovely facilitators, Jana & Laura will introduce you to the basics of crochet, helping you develop new skills and find joy in this wonderful, mindful activity. Together, we will master the basic crochet stitches such as chain, single crochet, and double crochet, we will learn how to read and follow crochet patterns with confidence and create our own scarf or bag, perfect for personal use or as a thoughtful gift.
In the final week, we shall contribute to the WOVEN in Kirklees Textiles project by each creating a crocheted square. These squares will be combined to form a beautiful community quilt, showcasing the collective creativity and celebrating 10 years of the Recovery College.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with some limited experience who want to expand their skills and knowledge. So, come and discover the therapeutic benefits of crochet while connecting with others in a supportive space. All materials provided.
