Life skills and interests
Delivered by our Creative Practitioner Sarah O’Boyle, this six-week course invites participants to explore gentle doodling techniques and simple one-page book-making processes. Each session offers a gentle, hands-on introduction to creative play, guiding you step-by-step in ways to turn single sheets of paper into personalised little booklets. Mindfulness is woven throughout the sessions, encouraging you to slow down, relax and notice the calming effect of creative focus.
Rooted in the principles of the Five Ways to Wellbeing—Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give—the course creates a supportive space where all levels of experience are welcome. You’ll have opportunities to connect with others, explore new skills, reflect on your creative process and share your creations if you wish. Doodle Books is designed to be calming, playful and inspiring, offering a weekly pocket of creativity to uplift your wellbeing and spark your imagination.
