Tetrapak Etching: Experimental Printmaking with Recycled Materials
Project Colt, Elland, Halifax, Bridgefield Mills, Elland Bridge, Elland, Halifax HX5 0SQ

Life skills and interests
Tetrapak etching is an accessible, low-cost printmaking technique that uses recycled food packaging to create richly textured prints. This course introduces participants to the full process—from preparing tetrapak plates and developing imagery, to inking, wiping, and printing by hand or press. The emphasis is on experimentation, sustainability, and creative confidence rather than technical perfection.
The course is suitable for beginners and those with some creative experience, offering a calm, hands-on learning environment that supports curiosity, focus, and personal expression.
Please note, this venue is in a converted mill, the building is in the process of being improved so that it is more accessible. In the meantime, if you struggle to climb stairs please get in touch as soon as you can and we will endeavour to put adjustments in place. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and we thank you for your patience. If you would like any further information, please get in touch.
