Join us as we head back in time and learn about the early years of the Golden Age of Hollywood! Delivered by two of our friendly and enthusiastic Recovery College volunteers, this fun four-week course provides the chance to learn, relax and escape from the stresses and strains of daily life. Together, we will learn about the very beginnings of motion pictures, the rise of the big studios and the early stars of Hollywood, as well as learning about the transition from silent movies to the ‘talkies’. Throughout the course, we will watch many famous movie clips containing some of the biggest stars of the silver screen. On the final week we’ll watch a full-length movie from this era together – popcorn provided!

How do I enrol?
You are not referred to the Recovery College, you can simply enrol yourself, or on behalf of someone for any of our courses that may be of interest to you. Our courses are open to all adults and we welcome carers, supporters and professionals too.
