Japanese Wood Block Printing
Mirfield Community Centre, Water Royd Lane, Mirfield, WF14 9SG
Life skills and interests
Join us for this popular course where we will delve into the traditional art of woodblock printing. This is similar to other block printing methods, such as lino but with a very different carving method – and result! Over 6 weeks, with the help of our fab Facilitators, James & Joy, you will be guided through the process of designing and carving out your own woodblock, and then printing with it to create your own unique piece of art. Previous experience of wood or lino printing is advisable but not essential.
Due to the popularity of this course and to ensure we are being fair to everyone, priority will be given to learners who have not undertaken this course previously.
