Join us for this popular course, delivered with our partners at the Royal Literary Fund (RLF) and peer worker Laura. Over four weeks we’ll be supported to develop a love for poetry, fiction and friendly discussion. The course will offer opportunities to hear and/or read short stories and poems from new and sometimes challenging writers and to think about them in ways that build on existing reading habits – or re-ignite our love of reading.
There’s no need to read anything in advance, and nothing to write down. Simply turn up and listen to Laura and a professional writer, Felicity McCall, read aloud. After that we’ll take part in a very open-ended discussion about the work we hear. It’s an opportunity to hear great stories and poems and talk about them in an informal, conversational way – perfect for regular readers and non-readers alike!
