Supporting others
Would you like to unlock your own potential while supporting and guiding others? Do you have experiences to share which could help somebody else? If so, you could make a great peer mentor!
Peer mentoring is all about sharing your experiences and knowledge to help others, either through a job or volunteer role. Imagine having a friendly guide who’s been through similar situations and can offer guidance, support, and encouragement – that’s what a peer mentor does! As a peer mentor you would listen, share your own stories, and help others find their way, supporting them to grow and succeed.
If you’d like to learn more about using your experience in this way, while enhancing your communication skills, why not join us for this interactive 7-week face-to-face course?
Delivered by our partners at Kirklees Success Centre, you’ll gain the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to effectively support and guide others. We’ll cover what it means to be a guide, key policies and procedures, and how to set and achieve helpful goals.
Please be aware that due to funding from Kirklees Success Centre, priority will be given to learners living in Kirklees and learners must be aged 19+ Also, you will be required to complete Kirklees Success Centre’s own enrolment forms at the start of this course.
