Do you find it hard to say no? Do you often go along with what others want or expect? Is it tough to get your voice heard in a respectful way?

In this insightful course, we look at the crucial role of communication in our lives, health, and relationships. We’ll break down and clarify terms like confidence, assertiveness, and self-esteem. By reflecting on our own experiences, we’ll explore various communication styles and identify what makes communication truly effective.  As we progress, we’ll learn some assertiveness skills, and will have the opportunity to practice these in a supportive environment, helping us to become more confident in using them. This course aims to empower us to communicate our needs and boundaries which can help improve our relationships with others, be it friends, family, colleagues or health professionals.

Please note, this venue is in a converted mill, the building is in the process of being improved so that it is more accessible. In the meantime, if you struggle to climb stairs please get in touch as soon as you can and we will endeavour to put adjustments in place. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and we thank you for your patience. If you would like any further information, please get in touch
