Yoga: Tuning into Nature

Crow Nest Park, main car park, Crow Nest Park, Heckmondwike Road, Dewsbury Moor, Dewsbury

Wellbeing tools

This course offers an opportunity to practice elements of Yoga, as a tool for connecting to the outdoors. The practice of yoga can calm the mind, improve sleep, increase concentration and could relieve symptoms of depression. It also increases strength and flexibility as we physically work to keep our bodies moving.

The course will include mini movement routines that can also be undertaken at home, breath practices to meet our emotional needs and activities to connect with the natural environment.  This class will be undertaken outdoors, only in extreme weather will it be taken inside. The class content will be adapted to suit the weather. This class provides fully accessible practices as movements can be adapted and joining from a chair is encouraged. However, some parts of the course will involve a short walk.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing during sessions and you will be required to complete a health questionnaire before attending.

There will be recorded content for learners to use at home too.
