Rhyme & Reason: Poetry Workshop
Mirfield Community Centre, Water Royd Lane, Mirfield, WF14 9SG
Life skills and interests
On National Poetry Day, join us for this brand-new, inspiring and uplifting workshop, designed to nurture your creativity, self-expression and sense of wellbeing. Our friendly and supportive facilitators will provide an introduction to the different techniques and methods of poetry and together we will read and reflect on the work of other Poets. We will engage in some free-flowing writing exercises and will also have the opportunity to write our own poems, in one of the many styles that poetry can take. We can share our work with others in this supportive, safe space, should we wish to do so. Whether you’re a seasoned Poet or a complete beginner this session is suitable for anyone who wants to explore the magic of words and emotions.
