Courses Starting Soon – don’t miss out!
Our September courses are already filling up fast, so now’s the perfect time to secure your place! There are still spaces available on the following upcoming courses, so whether you’re looking to build confidence, explore creativity or boost your wellbeing, there is something for everyone:-
Online Introduction to the Recovery College – for Professionals – Monday 8 September – 1pm – 2pm
This informal introductory session will provide you with useful information about the Recovery & Wellbeing College and how it can help the people you work with. You will hear first hand, from some of our wonderful volunteers and Peer Workers how attending the Recovery & Wellbeing College has positively impacted on their lives. So join us and discover how to help others to live life well.
Paper Weaving – Monday 8th September- Project Colt – 10.30am – 12.30pm – 4 weeks
A fun and relaxing course where you’ll discover the creative world of paper weaving using recycled materials and mixed media. Whether you’re completely new to crafting or already love getting creative, this course is open to everyone—no experience needed!
Mindful Doodles – Wednesday 10th September – online – 12.30pm-2.30pm -6 weeks
Taking some time out to focus on a mindful and creative activity can really help enhance our sense of wellbeing. So come and join us for this six-week online course. No previous drawing experience is required for this relaxing course, which will be facilitated by our wonderful Creative Practitioner, Sara Rose.

If you are already enrolled with the college, please email us to request a place on your chosen course(s) at: ckrecovery.wellbeing@swyt.nhs.uk or call us on: 07717 867911 or you can use your learner portal to express your interest. Please wait for confirmation that you are booked onto a course before attending.
If you are new to the College please enrol here.

Growing Works
Sprout at Oakwell Hall Country Park, Birstall
Join us for fun, nature-based activities for families with children aged 12 and under with SEND/SEMH, plus their siblings. Sessions run every Wednesday and Friday, 6–29 August, 10am–2pm. Lunch included. Booking essential.
Sprout at Crow Nest Park Adventure Playground
A welcoming Saturday morning group for children with additional needs (12 and under) and their families. Enjoy outdoor play, connection, and shared experiences in an inclusive space. Booking essential.
Bud – Adult Volunteering at Wakefield Road Allotments, Dalton
Get involved in therapeutic gardening every Tuesday and Thursday, 10am–1pm. A calm, friendly space with accessible paths and covered areas—perfect for all abilities and interests.
Dalton Community Gardens – Open Sessions
Everyone is welcome on Monday afternoons, 1–3pm, at the garden next to Rawthorpe and Dalton Library. Help care for this beautiful urban space and support local wildlife.
Yoga in the Park – Greenhead Park – Huddersfield
Yoga in Greenhead Park is back! Saturday mornings, 10am, at the Bandstand. Full details on the Facebook page. Pay as you feel- donations welcome.
Yorkshire Day- Sunday 3rd August, Oakwell Hall
Join us this summer for a FREE, fun-filled, family-friendly day out to celebrate everything wonderful about Yorkshire! Grab your picnic blankets, bring the family, and come along to enjoy the Yorkshire Day celebration on Sunday 3 August at Oakwell Hall.
