Weekly Update

Welcome to our weekly update!
As we head toward the end of this term and enjoy the brighter days of early Spring, we are also stepping into the Easter period. It is a lovely chance to pause, reset, and make space for the things that help us feel well. There is still plenty happening at the College over the next few weeks, from courses with spaces available to brilliant community activities and opportunities you will not want to miss.
We’re also pleased to share that we’re adding even more courses for the remainder of this term, giving you extra chances to get involved, learn something new, reconnect with others, or simply do something that lifts your spirits.
Whether you are looking for something uplifting to do over the Easter break or planning ahead for the new term, there truly is something for everyone. Take a look at what is coming up and get involved!

A Plan for Living Well: Building Strong Foundations
Over the last eight weeks, learners have been taking part in A Plan for Living Well, a course designed to help people explore what wellbeing and recovery mean to them. Together, we look at simple day-to-day habits, ways to manage stress, and how to spot early signs that things might be getting tough. By the end of the course, each person creates their own personalised wellbeing plan to support them in everyday life.
The sessions have been led by Recovery Coach Erika, Core Team member Graham, and Vicky, one of our amazing Volunteers who first joined the College as a learner herself. With their support, and the contributions of a brilliant group of learners, the course has become a warm and welcoming space to share experiences, try out mindfulness and breathing techniques, enjoy creative activities, and talk openly about what helps us stay well.
Learner Chris told us:
“It’s been a free and open space to engage or just listen as you want. The ‘Car Park’ strategy is new to me and I’ve found it really helpful to use.”
Learner Claire shared how the structure made a difference for her:
“I find the check-ins a really good way to evaluate my own feelings and thoughts at different times during the course.”
She added:
“This course covers so many topics to help with daily struggles. I enjoy the chance to talk within the group and learn strategies that other people have found helpful.”
If you are looking for a gentle, supportive way to explore your wellbeing and learn practical tools for everyday life, A Plan for Living Well could be a great next step. We would love to welcome you.
