Curious Motion Everybody Dance Taster Workshop

Offered by Curious Motion, a dance and health-based organisation in Elland, Everybody Dance is an exciting opportunity to take part in a new inclusive dance performance project, aimed at encouraging self-expression, connection, and creativity.

This course will support you to express yourself, learn new skills, and connect more deeply with yourself, others, and the world around you. It involves the re-imagining of ‘This Here Land’ a dance piece about togetherness, community, and celebration. During the course you will also have opportunities to get involved with the creative process, and explore other elements of performance, including music, costume, set design. At the end of the course you will take part in a performance as part of the ‘Welland Festival’, Curious Motion’s annual arts for wellbeing event in Elland.

You are invited to come to a Everybody Dance taster workshop which will involve short movement activities, the sharing of a video of Curious Motion’s This Here Land from 2023, and time to ask questions and find out more.

Sessions are open to all adults, regardless of dance experience or level. You will be supported by Curious Motion’s professional team of dance artists who are experienced at creating flexible, interactive, friendly, inclusive, welcoming and nurturing environments.

Wednesday 5th June, 6pm-7pm at Elland Community Hub, Huddersfield Road. HX5 9DW
