Moving into Mindfulness Outdoors

Greenhead Park Community Room (opposite tennis courts), Huddersfield, Greenhead Park, Huddersfield HD1 4HS

Wellbeing tools

Join Peer Worker, Laura and Recovery Coach, Erika for this five-week course where together we will explore the essence of mindfulness in nature.  We will discover different ways of practicing mindfulness within the beautiful setting of Greenhead Park. We will weave in the principles of Mindfulness, as set out by Jon Kabat Zinn (founder of the Mindful Based Stress Reduction Program). This course will include walking, movement, drawing and gardening to bring a mindful practice into the everyday, to help alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression.

When we learn how to live in the present moment, we can let go of stress and find peace and relaxation.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing during the sessions and you will be required to complete a health questionnaire before attending.

PLEASE NOTE: This course will be outside in all weathers, will involve short walks, movement practices in the park and meditation outside.

Due to demand and to ensure we are being fair to everyone, priority will be given to learners who have not previously undertaken a Recovery College Moving Into Mindfulness course.
