Weekly Update

Welcome to our weekly update
Welcome to this week’s update!
It’s no exaggeration to say that January — and now February — have been especially gloomy and cold. It’s easy to feel bogged down, stuck, or at a low ebb during these winter months, when the weather makes it tempting to stay tucked under a quilt.
But speaking of quilts, our 10‑year celebratory Quilt has been out on tour. And despite the grey skies, we’ve been met with warm and sunny receptions from potential new learners and professionals. Many people have been genuinely impressed by the creativity, hard work, and dedication woven into the quilt by everyone involved.
At the College, we often reflect on how important belonging, connection and community truly are. So well done to those of you who continue to brave the weather and join us on courses. Your presence keeps our community glowing, even in the deepest winter.
“There’s no such thing as bad weather — only good people weathering it together.”
Quilt Tour Update:
Our celebratory quilt has now visited Oakwell Hall, Folly Hall, the Laura Mitchell Centre, and is currently spending time with our friends at Ravensthorpe Community Centre.
