đ Taking a Second to Notice

This week I managed to take a decent photo on my phone â which doesnât always happen. A rainbow in the sky, a blossom tree doing its thing, and for once I actually noticed it before it disappeared.
It got me thinking about how rarely we slow down enough to catch moments like that. Most days weâre moving from one thing to the next, trying to remember what we were meant to be doing. Being âin the momentâ doesnât need to be complicated or deep, sometimes itâs just stopping long enough to think, thatâs quite nice, and letting yourself stay there for a second.
Thereâs something hopeful in that. Rainbows only turn up after rough weather, and blossom doesnât rush or worry about keeping up, it just appears when itâs ready. Recovery can be a bit like that too. Progress isnât always obvious or dramatic. Sometimes itâs small, quiet, and easy to miss if weâre not paying attention.
Next Tuesday weâre really looking forward to Cuppa and Connect, where weâll be getting together with learners for a brew and a chat. No pressure, no agenda â just a space to connect and take things at your own pace. Turning up is more than enough.
Whether hope shows up for you through learning, conversation, creativity, or the occasional moment where you stop and notice whatâs around you. You’ll be most welcome here. And yes, there will be cake!
Looking forward to seeing you there
Matt
