🌈 Taking a Second to Notice

This week I managed to take a decent photo on my phone — which doesn’t always happen. A rainbow in the sky, a blossom tree doing its thing, and for once I actually noticed it before it disappeared.

It got me thinking about how rarely we slow down enough to catch moments like that. Most days we’re moving from one thing to the next, trying to remember what we were meant to be doing. Being “in the moment” doesn’t need to be complicated or deep, sometimes it’s just stopping long enough to think, that’s quite nice, and letting yourself stay there for a second.

There’s something hopeful in that. Rainbows only turn up after rough weather, and blossom doesn’t rush or worry about keeping up, it just appears when it’s ready. Recovery can be a bit like that too. Progress isn’t always obvious or dramatic. Sometimes it’s small, quiet, and easy to miss if we’re not paying attention.

Next Tuesday we’re really looking forward to Cuppa and Connect, where we’ll be getting together with learners for a brew and a chat. No pressure, no agenda — just a space to connect and take things at your own pace. Turning up is more than enough.

Whether hope shows up for you through learning, conversation, creativity, or the occasional moment where you stop and notice what’s around you. You’ll  be most welcome here. And yes, there will be cake!

Looking forward to seeing you there

Matt
