Weekly Update

Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery College

August 27, 2026

Welcome to our weekly update.

Welcome to this week’s update.

As summer comes to an end, we are delighted to welcome everyone back to Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery & Wellbeing College. Whether you’re a returning learner, volunteer, partner organisation or someone considering joining us for the first time, we are excited to begin a new season of learning, growth and connection together!

The College continues to offer a welcoming space where you can come and learn, share experiences and take positive steps towards improving your wellbeing and recovery.

Over the summer months we celebrated the achievements of our learners and volunteers, shared events and activities from across Calderdale and Kirklees and highlighted the positive impact that recovery-focused learning, creativity and community can have on people’s lives.

Behind the scenes, the team has also been preparing for the exciting roll out of next terms courses and workshops. Our aim remains the same: to provide accessible learning opportunities that support recovery, wellbeing, personal development and social connection for people across Calderdale and Kirklees.

As we move into the autumn term, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. We have something on offer for everyone, whether you are looking to understand more about your health, develop practical wellbeing tools, build confidence or explore new interests. You can choose from a wide range of subjects across our key learning pathways, including My Health and Me, Wellbeing Tools, Life Skills & Interests, My Development, Supporting Others and a range of Online Courses.

Among the courses available this term are: Introduction to the Recovery College, Yoga: Moving into Happiness, Gel Printing, Writing With Confidence, Click Happy: Photography Journeys and so much more!

As we begin this new academic term, we would like to thank everyone who contributes to making Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery & Wellbeing College such a vibrant and inclusive space. You all continue to inspire us every day!

We look forward to seeing familiar faces return and welcoming new learners through our doors. Together, let’s make this term one of growth, opportunity and shared learning.

Welcome back, and here’s to another fantastic term at Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery & Wellbeing College.
