World Mental Health Day Saturday 10th October

We are asking you to send us words of hope to mark World Mental Health Day this year. We will collect them and make a word cloud which we will share with you in the next newsletter, on Facebook and on our website.  Send us no more than two words which mean something to you!


Every year the 10th of October is recognised across the globe as World Mental Health Day.  This initiative came about to educate people on mental health, reduce stigma and spread awareness on how living with a mental health condition can affect a person’s life.  This year is no different.  Unsurprisingly, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge negative impact on our mental health so it is more important than ever to make a positive change, however difficult that may seem.

The Mental Health Charity, Mind recommends to just ‘Do One Thing’ whether that is taking the first step towards getting some support or reaching out to someone else in need and lots more besides.
